The tale of the Givers and Takers:
The Givers were settlers who lived in quiet harmony. Mostly gentle, they could be harsh and cruel too. But they lived by the code of balance – violence had to be warranted.
The Takers were messy and greedy wanderers who made frequent forays into the territories of the Givers demanding hospitality and resources. With time, their wants overtook their needs. Their greed started destroying the Givers.
Which is why some say that the Givers were forced to home-imprison the Takers for a while, and that the bio-war did not start from any lab in Wuhan, but from the labs of nature.
