I caress my bump… and feel a kick.

No surprise there! He’s an impetuous one. Lowering myself down to the rocking chair, I scoot back. It takes a while to find a comfortable angle. A tiny chuckle makes its way. Comfortable had been an elusive state of late.  Picking up the newspaper I look at the date. Almost 10 days to go. I ruminate upon all the wisdom shared by my sisters. The world as I know was about to change – that’s what they had mentioned. Well, the world as I knew it had already changed. I couldn’t even clip my own toenails. “Today you can’t reach them. When the baby comes you won’t have time to reach them.” they had joked. A bit extreme, but what do I know.

Flatulence. O God… this was becoming a constant. But this feels strange. I look down. Water puddles around me feet. The tohubohu starts.
